Anxiety with PTSD
A doctor once said to me, "That wasn't a panic attack, it was an anxiety attack." Doctors list panic as a kind of anxiety, like this:
- 1. Phobias
- 2. OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder)
- 3. Panic
- 4. PTSD
Note. It's possible to have more than one of these at the same time. For example, you could have PTSD, have panic attacks, be afraid of flying (phobia), and wash your hands a hundred times a day (OCD). If you get a diagnosis, try not to let it become a label, to the exclusion of your other symptoms.
